Palm Belle reserves the right to the first TWO pick(s) of the litter from any litter for the preservation of our breeding program.

We accept reservation fees at any time. The reservation fee of $500 is paid to hold your spot in line to pick out your puppy.

Let’s talk waitlists!
Some breeders have a reservation list for each litter, and require buyers to commit to a specific litter and gender. If a family decides they want to wait for a different litter, or a life event changes their circumstances, or the gender they want isn’t available, they have to start at the bottom of another list for a different litter.
We used to keep our reservation lists like that, but found there was a lot of confusion and stress from families on when they’ll get a puppy. This is easier for the breeder, as they know ahead of time if a litter will have homes. But it is not better for the families that are anxiously waiting to bring a cute, happy puppy home!
We have found that keeping a single master reservation list for our puppies works best for families.
Having master lists allows you the most flexibility in selecting the exact puppy you want, and you never lose your place if you change litters or want to wait until a later date.
Since we cannot control heat cycles or litter sizes or gender, this seems to be the most fair way for you to get your puppy without losing your place in line.
Here is how each master list works.
When a family makes a reservation, they get put next in line on the list.* Let’s use the fictional Smith, Owens, and Johnson families as examples. The Smith family makes their reservation, followed by the Owens and Johnson families. They appear on our list like this:
-
Smith deposited 01/23/2023
-
Owens deposited 04/18/2023
-
Johnson deposited 05/02/2023
As the breeder, we reserve the right to pick 2 puppies from each litter (if we so choose), so we always appear ahead of all of the families on the list. So in reality, the list is more likely to look like this:
-
Breeder pick(s) - We can pick 1 or 2 puppies to keep
-
Smith
-
Owens
-
Johnson
Let’s say we have a litter available. When those litters are 1 week old, we open the litter to the list for selection. If we want a puppy, we keep that one or two. Then we tell the Smith family they can pick. The Smith family decides that they want to wait for another litter. So they remain on the list. The Owens family selects its puppy, and then the Johnson family selects its puppy. So our list now looks like this:
-
Breeder pick(s)
-
Smith
So sometimes this means that even though we have, for example, 14 people on the master list and 8 puppies in a litter, not all of the available puppies may necessarily be spoken for from the list since people can choose to wait for a later litter.
This is why it’s good to get your reservation in early—it gives you a priority place on the master list. But also, if you are not particular about what you are looking for in a puppy (specific size, sex, color, personality), then you may be able to get a puppy much sooner even though our waiting list appears quite full.
We know this is not typical, but it seems most fair to us and has been working well. If you have any questions about how our list works, please reach out.
Our non-refundable reservation fee is $500 and is applied to the price of your puppy.
How does the pick process work?
To ensure the best experience for you and to keep things organized, here is how the pick process works!
-
When puppies are 1 week we will reach out to the amount of families based on the available puppies to see who would like to come visit the litter
-
If you say YES to this litter we will send you the time and day to see the puppies either in person or via FaceTime. If you say NO to this litter you will keep your spot on our master but be removed from the current litter. If you say NO and change your mind after visiting times have been sent out, you may move back to the current IF there are available spots but you will move to the bottom of the list.
-
When puppies are THREE WEEKS you will come and meet any available puppies in order of deposit received. This is kept to a 30 minute slot in order to be able to accommodate all families
-
During your visit, you will have the opportunity to interact with the puppies and will choose your puppy before you leave.
-
After your visit, the puppy you select will no longer be shown to other families, ensuring a fair and exclusive selection process for each family.
Selection is based on the order of deposits placed.
*Each puppy will be sold on a STRICT spay/neuter contract unless breeding rights have been discussed

*Current Waitlist* - Palm Belle Doodles holds the first 2 spots in each litter. Please note we do not always use both spots. In this case families will move up the list.
